Like many businesses, Diybugs was born out of frustration. Have you watched one of the many interior design shows, but floundered at your first attempt to copy something that inspired you because they do not show you how to do it step by step?
Diybugs is unique in that we are portable so can come to you We are based in the South East & will expand further.
We are surrounded by books, and the internet is full of tips and advice, but there is no substitutue for hands on learning and a friendly guide when you pick up a drill for the first ever time, or attempt to paint or paper a wall or ceiling.
I looked around for DIY day classes locally but the nearest was 60 miles away, so my only option was to enrol on the local professional college courses. Talking to others I found that some people only wanted to learn how to do just one aspect of the course, such as how to wallpaper or solder a copper joint. What's more the courses are costly: one woman paid over £700 then left after just the module she was interested in. What a waste ! After a good few years of study I used my skills to start my own professional painting, decorating & handyman business, working in private homes, out on site, new build, refurb & convertion projects, training people too. And that has showed me how many people would like to be able to do more simple tasks themselves around the house. I came up with the idea for Diybugs, to help you whether you have the DIY bug, or whether DIY bugs you, AND HERE WE ARE !
